Post by kfkm »

The Music Zoo is taking pre orders for the new Jake E Lee Charvel San Dimas Style Guitar. Here is the link below. It looks like it will be around $2350 to purchase.

I was really hoping for a better price than that. I just could never bring myself to pay $2,350 for a Charvel.

Still excited for Jake to have a signature model available.

all of this

$2350 is a pretty damn good price for a custom shop guitar but I was hoping they would to the EVH thing and do a cheap range like eddie did with the striped series

A bit too expensive really, but still nice to see Jake getting honoured with a signature guitar again. I might buy one in the future to go with my other signature Jake's ;) I've got a few :D

Kind of odd that the guitar Jake using, has 22 frets. While the one in the Charvel ad has 21.

I assume they have based it on his original whitey, so 21 frets and rosewood. Pretty sure the one he is using now has an ebony board as well

The 22 fret model he is playing in the ad looks just like the setup he had with the esp jake e lee models with the volume/tone and 22 frets exactly! I actually wouldnt mind a 22 fret jake model at all....

There is also a new Jake overdrive pedal at NAMM too. Majik Box BB-1 Jake E. Lee Mod.

Majik Box new Body Blow Jake E. Lee Mod overdrive is similar to the existing Body Blow, but it's missing the two toggles because this box has more low end than the original, and Lee prefers the original's diode-clipping vintage mode. Unlike many overdrives, it accentuates low-mids to give more oomph to solos.

according to Mike McGregor telling the guys from Andertons music in England and Chapman Guitars further down the line there will be a cheaper Jake e Lee model like they did with the chris broderick model out of asia for less money which would be be nice and I would buy! Cause some of these models prices are getting outrageous like the new fender evh model in the guitarworld feb 2014 issue which is 5,999 bucks! And that ibanez kick back jem they put out for like 9,000 grand? To much for my pocket book.

At this time this is the only model that is available and it is indeed right handed. Will other options be available in the future? Unfortunately, Marketing and R&D is pretty tight lipped as to what they are cooking up. Therefore, I have no information as to whether that option will be available in the future. I would keep your eyes on the website (http://www.charvel.com/) and listen to what comes out of future NAMM shows.

Cool review on JAKE's Signature gears/Instruments. CHARVEL and those Fuzz/Majik Box certainly suits Mr. Jake E. Lee unique Trailblazing Music Style(s). Also like the ESP Signature models, too. Thanks for sharing. JAKE is a genuine Rock N Roller Rebel. AWESOME!!!! :D
