The man known to the world as Yngwie J. Malmsteen was born Yngwie Jabberwocky Mermelstein in Brooklyn, New York, and raised in an orthdox Jewish household in which modern music was verboten. He loves hydrox cookies and bagles, gravlax and cream cheese. The rest is history.
