George Lynch vs. Warren DeMartini !

So ... both players are actually very similar
and played the same scene in the 80's.

But who do you prefer ?

George Lynch

Warren DeMartini

I prefer the "bleached blonde", "tiger striped mesh" as opposed to the "feathered back", "torn leopard spot", rising sun.....

As a player: George, no question...too bad he was never as hot as Warren, tho

Dokken was a much better band than Ratt IMO.
1. Don could definately out sing Stephen
2. Pilson was better a bassplayer than Croucier
3. Blotzer was Better than Mick Brown though
4. And George Lynch is heads above Demartini

But it is no secret that the lead singers of both bands are egomaniac assholes to this day. Speaking of lead singers from the '80s be sure to check out Brett Michaels in " Rock of Love 2 " on VH1 this spring .

I'm gonna have to go w/ George. Although I loved both bands Dokken/Lynch Mob really stood out to me. The fact that Lynch was the only full time guitar player in the band really says a lot for his playing. I've seen both live and they both have a full sound but Dokken sounds much better live than Pearcy.

I have a lot of respect for both. I hold them both equally in high regard as both are mighty fine players but i have to go with DeMartini on this one. Although both guitarists influenced that genre a lot, I find RATT were a more influencing band than Dokken. Having strayed away slightly, I like a lot about Lynch. His technique is incredible and skill is amazing (songs such as Mr Scary showcase that), but I just prefer RATT's music and Warrens playing on this one, but very close call and could always change

For me this is a tough call ! I think Ratt had more commercial success ( at least in Canada they did .)

George is still writing new material and releasing dvd's (although Reevolution Live was total garbage)

Both players have that 10000000 notes per second attitude.
