What did you guys think about Great White?

I've been going back through all my 80's stuff now that I'm joining an 80's type band.

One band that I totally forgot about but totally loved at the time was Great White. I had their first albums/cassettes but wasn't too enamored with Twice Shy and pretty much ditched them. But everthing up to that point I thought was "most excellent". I think Mark Kendell was so under rated. A very bluesy player that got overlooked because he wasn't flashy.

I liked a few of their songs, and I saw them live a couple of times before the fire (with Kendall and without) when they were opening up for Dokken.

Good band that had some OK tunes and fine ass chicks in their videos. I felt really bad for them when that hole Stationhouse fire went down. Because Jack Russel always seemed like a dude who just liked to rock and have a good time. I imagine they wake up everyday and have to live with what happened that night.

One of my bands is opening for Great White this August in Phoenix. I always liked the group, very cool bluesy rock/metal. I always thought if you liked Great White you would love Badlands!

Yep - me, too.

I always liked Mark Kendall's playing, but he annoyed me by never taking those shades off E V E R. I don't think I've ever seen a picture of him without them on.

My favorite cd of theirs (only have two) is Great Zeppelin, their tribute. They do a mean Zep imitation
