Thumbs up for Iron Man. (For any comic book readers here, stay through the closing credits). Next movie I'm looking forward to seeing is Indiana Jones.

This clip is impressive! I'm forwarding the link to my 2 nephews who love playing the Guitar Hero games. They'll probably be as impressed as I am.

I saw Prince a few years ago (I mentioned this in another thread)
I got to see Willie Nelson last year. I haven't got any of his music on my IPod, but I still knew most of the songs.

Re: Underrated Guitarists
(I usually get slammed for saying this)
Prince. His studio albums usually stay away from the guitar solos, aside from the "Purple Rain" album, but I got to see him live a couple years back and he let it rip.

Re: Mind Openess
In response to FakeBlue's original post: I'm definitely more open-minded now than in my younger "metal and rock only" days.
I feel like I've lightenend up a little after figuring out that I am a metal head. :D I like all kinds of music, but metal is what I prefer and where my passion lies. In ...

Re: calling all guitar wizards: DiMarzioSDS-1 replacement ad
I've used the Dimarzio HS2, HS3, and YJM. If I remember right, they're maybe half as loud as an SDS1, with a little more treble, but they don't have the humming.
Hope this helps.

To Shadow and Skezza: Thanks! I've been told that this guitar has a very thin maple veneer on the front.
To Sytharnia: Can you tell me more about a "q-filter"? I've never heard of this device/gadget.

In one word - Loud!
Not as loud as EMG pickups, or the Dimarzio Tone Zone or Super Distortion, and certainly not as heavy in the bass/midrange as those pickups. In this guitar, it actually sounds like the bass/midrange are ...
