I saw a band called Dooky Farm in Tujunga and their guitarist was playing an Arbor guitar through a Pignose.Rock wrote:Especially when u go lingerie shoppin with the Mrs hehehehemrmetal wrote:Girl shopping sounds like more fun.johnthebrucelee wrote:Go to your local music store and play each amp until you've found the quality of the sound you are looking for. It's kind of like going to a big party (or something similar) and picking a girl. If your amp doesn't satisfy you, then go look for another one. The same goes with the girl, if she doesn't fit your "wants", then go look for another one.
Well, there's my amp advice.
Amps: to Marshall or not to Marshall

I think the best concert I ever went to was Molly Hatchet in 1980 at the Poonagua Casino and Resort out by Barstow. I was in second grade at the time and I ditched school to go to it. I bought a pair of high platform boots so I could reach the pedals of my uncle's Camaro which I borrowed, and a hardbound copy of The Urantia Book so I could see above the steering wheel. Rufus and Dufus from Conan the Barbarian were doing security so I had to fool them by wearing a Larry Csonka mustache and with my bowlcut I looked like Captain Kangaroo with a shrunken head. It was very hard to stand on my seat during the show what with the platforms and a war broke out when I accidentally passed a spliff from a Mongol to a Hell's Angel (they look the same when you have a contact high). The Nudge' made a guest appearance and the closed the show with "Flirtin' With Disaster."Rock wrote:LOL your a funny one FedaykinFedaykin wrote:I saw a band called Dooky Farm in Tujunga and their guitarist was playing an Arbor guitar through a Pignose.Rock wrote: Especially when u go lingerie shoppin with the Mrs hehehehe

I think one of the best gangsta' rap groups ever was Foghat. I especially dig how they practically invented gangasta' rap out of whole cloth, man. Songs like, "Slow Ride" really lay down gangsta' law, like, what it's like to live the life, ya' know what I'm saying? And "Foll For The City," well, it's like, all about like what it's like to like be representing your 'hood. Know what I'm saying? I mean, Nick Jameson did some bad ass bass lines on "Slow Ride" which like, created, like, a kind of mood about like, how you gotta live the life of a gangsta' if you goin' to survive on the streets, because, like Foghat's desciple Jay-Z says, "The Streets is Watching." Peace. Out!Rock wrote:Hahahahahaha classic!!!!! you should write some fkn comedy for a movieFedaykin wrote:I think the best concert I ever went to was Molly Hatchet in 1980 at the Poonagua Casino and Resort out by Barstow.
