I'd go to see him. I saw him when he played with Whitesnake, and they opened for Motley Crue on the Girls tour.Moose6 wrote:Adrian Vandenburg... maybe? What do y'all think?
Where is he playing?

It was being sold through the Heart website, which is where I got my copy.rockinrye wrote:Moose6 wrote:Queensryche has never been the same since Chris DeGarmo left.
A coupla records back (Tribe ) Chris was given credits on 2 songs "Open " and "Desert Dance".
The is last I have heard of him. He did release an E.P some years back called " Spys 4 Darwin".

Re: Underrated Guitarists
I like Adrian Vanderburg...'his a WHITESNAKE guitar legend. He was amongst the origional musicians line-up of Whitesnake when they first started out, I believe. Also, his a Master Chef Vanderburg is/they say he couldn't stop fixing up meal dishes while on the road
his one of the many Classic Rocker's that's featured in David Coverdale's wife Cookbook of the Rockstars.
I also like fame guitarist Steve Stevens, alot...'his super outrageous & cool!

Re: Underrated Guitarists
I dig Adrian Vandenburgh. I have some of his solo stuff and there is some great playing there. Vivian Campbell was a monster with Dio and I wonder whats up with him. I know he is with Def Leppard, but he is kind of on the back burner it seems. Also dig Frank Hannon, but was a little dissappointed with Guitarz From Marz, maybe I'll give it another listen. Speaking of Mars, Mick Mars through some great riffs down. I hear the Crue has another project in the works. Mick seems to be in pretty rough shape the last I knew. Steve Stevens also has something new out. I dont know if he is considered underrated or not but Richie Kotzen comes to mind.

I agree with you about John5. He does some pretty off the wall stuff - amazing guitar player, but for some reason, you never hear his name come up when you start talking about Guitar Heroes.

Mustaine seems to get the credit for all the megadeth stuff, even what marty did, but I would hardly say Marty is underrated. He is an amazing guitarist.AZFF wrote:John Lowery-AKA John 5

Re: Underrated Guitarists
Oh I agree with you. I just think that he hasn't been recognized by the "mainstream" like Mustaine has. I saw him on the Countdown To Extinction tour back in 92 or 93.yellowshirtguy wrote:Mustaine seems to get the credit for all the megadeth stuff, even what marty did, but I would hardly say Marty is underrated. Have you heard Marty's solo album Scenes? Good stuff!
Re: Underrated Guitarists
I was under the impression that Mustaine did most of the writing in Megadeth. Not to take from Marty at all, he is an excellent maestro at the fretboard.
I remember reading an interview once when Marty first joined Megadeth and he was talking about how hard some of those rythym parts are in the songs that Dave comes up with.
