I dont know if I like the new guitar he's playing on the video with SUN. Its just weird seeing him with a Les Paul shaped guitar. his body shape when he plays suits the SG or Strat guitars. Anyway thats a small point, but I think he will have the very best equipment as he always was a bit of a perfectionist with his gear and sound. I am just desperate to hear the music. Still dont even know if its going to be Metal, Blues Rock or some kind of fusion.

'to know him is to wait for him' and twenty years have
passed, I can't believe it!

I want to see Jake with that white strato? I can't play
guitar, so I don't know much about equipment, but he said
it was his lover. So when he sold it, I was shocked.
I don't want to see him change a lot.

If what his recent videos of him that have popped up here and there, will be any indication of what he is using, it will be pretty straight forward. What goes on in the studio and what goes on live can be totally different, but I would guess that he will be using the same thing. I think we can expect his guitar work to be along the vein of Badlands, because that is a true interpretation of what he is. Raw guitar work and that is why he is using the rig he has been.
Still dont know, if he is using stock pups in them guitars or not. There is a big difference in them. Seymour Duncan has designed some pretty cool P90's that act like a humbucker and are noiseless. The stock ones are a different kind of animal that is hard to control. Also, not sure of what pedals he has on the floor either. From what has been seen online, I would guess nothing. In any case, I would guess it gonna be raw and in your face. Nothing masked, compressed or covered up.

to be honest, I'm not even sure he has/owns 'Whitey' anymore 8O
around the time of 'Retraced', he said in an interview that the only guitar
he brought with him to Vegas was the ESP X-Tone...

If he sold the Whitey I hope he sold it for lots of money, its an iconic guitar with a great history. I wonder who has it.

During the 3 Day Crush gigs he had 3 pedals on the floor. Not sure what they were though. But he did use the same Orange head that he used for the recent S.U.N gig. The cabinet looks different.

For those 3 Day Crush gigs, he was using a red and black SG's
