Re: Bo Bice
Here's the line up for tonight - Should be ummmmm, interesting.....
Ace Young, We Will Rock You: "I urbanized the verses a little, just by riding on (the notes). I put a little R&B soul on it. When we were done, they said, 'That sounds like a record.' "
•Bucky Covington, Fat Bottomed Girls: "Yes, we all love the fat-bottomed girls."
•Chris Daughtry, Innuendo: "It's a relatively unknown song. It just had a mixture of a dark feel and a positive message. And I just found out they've never performed this live."
•Elliott Yamin, Somebody to Love: "I was drawn to the passionate emotion of the song. I heard a lot of soul in it."
•Katharine McPhee, Who Wants to Live Forever: "How could (this) not be fun? We're working with so many different legends."
•Kellie Pickler, Bohemian Rhapsody: "We only have 1 minute and 30 seconds, and the song is really long. Having to cut so many pieces is really hard to memorize, because I'm not singing the song as it's originally played."
•Paris Bennett, The Show Must Go On: "Being with the band was a big experience to me, never being with a rock band before. I was able to pick a song that fits me, that's still rocky."
•Taylor Hicks, Crazy Little Thing Called Love: "You listen to a Queen song, it's really melodic and very powerful, and the dynamics (are) really cool."

Yeah she's fun to look at, but Ace freaking Young singing We Will Rock You? And making it more "urban"? I gotta feeling I'm gonna be pissed tonight.

Man Strat, you are just so way off on all of this. First, Randy Jackson was never rock. He was a session muscian that has played on literally hundreds of albums. Mostly pop and R&B.
Second for this show to be the decline of Rock, it would have to BE rock. It's pop culture kind of stuff. It has nothing at all to do with "rock". If you don't like the show fine, but at least understand the point of it. It's called American IDOL. Not best musician. Not composer with most integrity. It's to make people a STAR. And everyone on there has reaped the benefits, Randy being one of them. Why would he want your 'forgiveness' for being more successful and popular then he's ever been?
So, you stay in the basement, while the rest of us try and get somewhere ok?

Re: Bo Bice
Well don't know who else saw the show, but it pretty much sucked.
Ace was terrible and Queen knew he would be. Plus Chris singing an obscure song like Innuendo didn't help. Funniest part was when Taylor missed kicking the mic stand. Just my opinion.

Yep, I watched...and it did suck. lol Too bad Chris didn't pick a better song. I didn't like that Creed song that he picked the other week either. Ace and Taylor both get on my nerves, and I hope one of those two get knocked out tonight. Oh, well...I'll be watching Lost anyway. I'll find out who gets booted by going online or something. Or I could come back here.
