Oh, no that is truelly heartbreakin' news I was trying to figure out how he'd looked in his earlier music days and do believe he/Mike Starr AND Ray Gillen another treausure Classic Rocker worked with Mr. Rondinelli in RONDINDELLI Band and also SUN RED SUN (with Mr. Romano, the OUTRAGEOUS Classic session! Great album!!!!) both are really amazing high potential Classic bands. So, sorry to hear that yet another truelly throw-down Classic Rocker Mike STARR has past on. His the one with all that curly-wild hear from the SUN RED SUN session, okay I see him now in my mind what a talented-handsome man he was and will forever be, I know all his music partners past and present the legendary ALICE IN CHAIN will miss their dear brother in arms forever. Much heartfelt condolences to the Mike STARR Family. May he rest in sweet harmony. Godbless.

RIP Jon Oliva's Pain guitarist Matt LaPorte. He did an amazing job recreating the great Criss Oliva's guitar parts when JOP played Savatage live. I talked to him many times via email after buying his pedalboard and he was always gracious and understanding. Great musician and a greater person. He even shipped the pedalboard around the US at his expense so Jon Oliva could sign it for me.

TNT keyboardist Dag Stokke has died from cancer, April 27 2011. Dag was only 44 years old and was only diagnosed in January.

Motorhead's Michael Wurzel <--CLICK LINK

The guitarist, who joined Motorhead in 1984 before leaving in 1995, died on July 9. He was 61.

In a statement, his former bandmates said: “We are greatly saddened to confirm that our long-time friend and comrade Würzel died Saturday at his home.

“Würz was pouring a Guinness and cracking a joke when he succumbed to a heart attack; at least we know he went with a smile.”

They added: “It is a cliche to say that words cannot describe how we feel, and in this case, other than ones such as 'shit' and 'awful' and 'very very sad' it is true, they really can't.”

As previously reported on Gigwise, Motorhead paid tribute to Wurzel during their performance at the Sonisphere festival on Sunday (July 10).

Although he left in 1995, Wurzel rejoined the group in recent years to play festivals.
