Opinions on this song? Like or hate? I personally liked it because Lars isn't banging on a trash can and solos stike back! :o
"Hahaha, you don't see rockstars with straight A's in high school and such," says johnthebrucelee. "Actually, that only goes to show that playin' guitar ain't rocket science," Deansolo remarked. ;)

Considering the quality and conditions...I'd say it's just average and I don't usually slam Metallica so easily. Sounds too much like different riffs and ideas pieced together, just for the sake of it, like they're trying to recapture some of the complexities of And Justice..songs' structures with riffs from the Black album or Load...sounds really pieced together. I'll still buy the album though.

From what I read about making the album, producer Rick Rouben didn't contribute like Bob Rock did, just came in and check up on them every once in awhile.

*September 12, 2008* World-Wide release date of Metallica's Death Magnetic. USA release date hasn't been confirmed I don't believe. :?

I kind of liked what Bob Rock did with the black album. forget load, reload and st anger. In my opinion, if its another catastrophic Metallica failure like St Anger, then it will be a win for Megadeth, Mustaine and United Abominations! :D

That is a good point you brought up there. The new Megadeth was badass and so was the last couple of Exodus albums. With new bands like Into Eternity, Soilwork, and Dark Tranquility around to mention a few, any Metalhead can get a fix.

I don't understand what happened to Metallica. How can a great band just fall apart like that? The last good album was "In Justice For All" and that wasn't as good as "Master of Puppets" or "Ride the Lightning".

Personally, I think that band hasn't been the same since losing Cliff Burton.
